Some people spend their lives keeping every bridge standing.
They keep everyone happy, give everyone access, and make sure nobody is ever pushed away. Their island stays clean, but eventually there is nothing on it that is truly their own.
Others burn every bridge.
They push everyone away, trust no one, and end up standing alone on an island with nothing worth having.
Then there are the people who build their own island.
They grow their own patch. They build bridges to people who matter. They share what they have. And when a bridge no longer serves them, they are willing to burn it.
If you never burn a bridge, you’re a coward.
If you burn them all, you’re an idiot.
Burn some. Keep others. Live a life on your terms.
